Diisononyl phthalate (DINP) This product is a transparent oily liquid with a slight odor. This product is a versatile main plasticizer with excellent properties. This product and PVC compatibility is good, even if a large number of use will not precipitate; The volatility, migration and non-toxicity are better than DOP (dioctyl phthalate), which can give the product good light resistance, heat resistance, aging resistance and electrical insulation properties, and the comprehensive performance is better than DOP. Because the products produced by this product have good water resistance and extraction resistance, low toxicity, aging resistance and excellent electrical insulation performance, it is widely used in toy film, wire and cable.
Compared with DOP, DINP has a larger molecular weight and longer carbon chain, so it has better aging properties, anti-migration properties, anti-extraction properties and higher high temperature resistance. Accordingly, the plasticizing effect of DINP is slightly worse than that of DOP under the same conditions. DINP is generally considered to be more environmentally friendly than DOP.
DINP has advantages in improving extrusion efficiency. Under typical extrusion conditions, DINP can reduce the melt viscosity of the mixture more than DOP, which helps to reduce die pressure, reduce mechanical wear or increase extrusion productivity (up to 21%), which can be achieved without changing the product formulation and production process, without additional fixed investment, without additional energy consumption, and without maintaining product quality.
DINP is normally an oily liquid, insoluble in water. It is generally transported by tank trucks, and small batches are transported by iron drums or special plastic drums.
